Jarvis Hollingsworth

Jarvis Hollingsworth is a Partner with Bracewell & Giuliani and Chairman of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a system that manages a $100 billion-plus pension fund. Hollingsworth's law practice focuses on strategic advice to boards of directors of public and private entities, public law and complex litigation. In 2006 he was recognized as one of the "75 Most Powerful Blacks on Wall Street," a list published by Black Enterprise magazine. Hollingsworth's legal, business and financial expertise has also been recognized with awards from the University of Houston Law Alumni Association, the State Bar of Texas, Texas Lawyer and through his induction into the New York chapter of the National Association of Securities Professionals' Wall Street Hall of Fame. He is a director for the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau and former general counsel to the Fort Bend Independent School District Foundation. Hollingsworth received a bachelor's degree in public law from the U.S. Military Academy and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
