Peter Neupert

Peter Neupert is Corporate Vice President of Microsoft's Health Solutions Group, which is collaborating with major players in the health-care field to address global infrastructure issues of significant scale. Before rejoining Microsoft, Neupert served as president and CEO of Drugstore.com Inc., and then chairman of its board of directors. Neupert served on the President's Information Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC) from 2003 to 2005. He held various roles at Microsoft from 1987 to 1998: he was director of operating systems responsible for shipping OS/2, and later was responsible for MSNBC as vice president of news and publishing for the interactive media group. He is an active member of the Roundtable on Evidence-Based Medicine (a project of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies) and sits on the Pacific Health Summit Advisory Board, as well as the boards of infiLearn.com and Cranium Inc. Neupert received an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a bachelor's degree from Colorado College.
