David Agus
Director, Spielberg Family Center for Applied Proteomics; Research Director, Louis Warschaw Prostate Cancer Center, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
David Agus is Director of the Spielberg Family Center for Applied Proteomics and Research Director of the Louis Warschaw Prostate Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he still sees patients. He also directs the Sumner Redstone Center Prostate Cancer Research Program within the cancer center, and serves as associate professor of medicine and molecular pharmacology at the UCLA School of Medicine. His research is focused on the application of proteomics and genomics for the study of cancer and the development of new cancer treatments. He was the founder of Oncology.com, the largest Internet resource and community for cancer patients, and of Navigenics Inc., a health-care technology and wellness company. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Agus was an attending physician and head of the Laboratory of Tumor Biology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He also served as an assistant professor at Cornell University Medical Center. He received a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
