Amy Liu
Deputy Director, Metropolitan Policy Program, Brookings Institution
Amy Liu is Deputy Director of the Metropolitan Policy Program at the Brookings Institution. Her policy studies include economic competitiveness, metropolitan growth and development, governance reforms, urban reinvestment and social equity. She is also a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, and panel advisor to the State Development and Housing Policy Initiative of the National Governors Association. Liu was previously special assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. She has also worked for the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Housing and Urban Affairs, the U.S. Senate Banking Committee and Chicago's Metropolitan Planning Council. Liu received a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University.
