Vinicius Lummertz da Silva
Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Administrative Center of the State of Santa Catarina
Vinicius Lummertz da Silva is Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Office of the State Government of Santa Catarina, Brazil, a position he has held since early 2007. From 2004 until 2006, he was CEO of SC Parcerias, the public-private partnership company of the State of Santa Catarina. He is also chairman of the board of the Unisul Business School (UBS). Silva was technical director of Brazil's SEBRAE (the equivalent to the U.S. Small Business Administration) in Brasília. He is a member of the advisory board for HP to Latin America, and chairman of the NGO Youth Business International in Brazil, an initiative of the Prince of Wales. He is also author of the book Complexo Brasil: o difícil é fazer. With a degree in political science from the American University of Paris and postgraduate studies at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in knowledge management at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis.
