Steven Koch
Co-Chair, Global Mergers and Acquisitions, Credit Suisse
Steven Koch is Vice-Chairman of Investment Banking and Co-Chair of Global Mergers and Acquisitions at Credit Suisse, where he also serves on various management committees. He joined Credit Suisse in 1985 and was named a managing director in 1989. He has advised clients in all major financial markets in a variety of industries. Koch helped to organize and teaches in the Director's Consortium, a semiannual seminar sponsored by the Wharton School, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and the Stanford Law School. He also serves on the boards of Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center in Chicago, the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Francis W. Parker School; he is on the National Finance Committee of the Obama for America campaign. Koch received a bachelor's degree from Hampshire College, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He was a Henry Luce Scholar and served as a law clerk to Judge Richard Cudahy of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago.
