Rajesh Agarwal is Managing Director of AIG Global Real Estate and Head of Global Real Estate Division, India, for AIG Investments. Agarwal previously worked for Reliance Capital Asset Management Ltd., where he was vice president of private equity, responsible for setting up the firm's real estate investment practice. Before joining Reliance Capital, Agarwal worked at ICICI Venture, one of the largest private equity firms in India; there he was involved in launching the real estate private equity business in India and executed the country's first few pioneering private equity-led real estate developments as well as rental yield-based investments. He has worked in the financial services sector in India and gained broad knowledge of infrastructure, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. Agarwal received a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from the University of Bombay (now the University of Mumbai) and an M.B.A. in finance and marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.
