Albhy Galuten is Vice President of Digital Media Technology Strategy at Sony Corporation of America. Before joining Sony, Galuten was senior vice president of advanced technology at Universal Music Group, where he provided strategic advice to senior management in the technology space, performing technical due diligence of software, hardware and business systems, inventing technology and filing patents. Prior to working at Universal, Galuten was a vice president at ION, a multimedia and music technology company where he created and developed the Enhanced CD. In addition to his technological achievements, Galuten is a Grammy Award-winning record producer, songwriter and arranger. In 1978 he won two Grammys, including Producer of the Year. His original compositions and orchestrations for film, theater and recordings have won him a Drama-Logue Award and two BMI Awards. During a music career that spanned more than 20 years, Galuten worked with numerous multi-platinum artists, produced 18 no. 1 singles and generated sales of more than 100 million records.
