Michael Van Konynenburg is President of Eastdil Secured, a real estate investment banking firm that was recently formed with the merger of Eastdil Realty LLC and Secured Capital Corp. At Eastdil Secured, he is responsible for overseeing numerous large real estate transactions, specifically those involving financing, raising capital and investment banking transactions. As former president and CEO of Secured Capital, a real estate investment banking firm that he co-founded in 1990, Van Konynenburg oversaw transactions totaling over $80 billion. Prior to his association with Secured Capital, he was a senior vice president in Drexel Burnham Lambert's Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities Department. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a founding board member of the Ziman Center for Real Estate at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles. Van Konynenburg received a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Davis.
