Rhonda Schaffler is the Anchor of "Open Exchange" on Bloomberg Television. She joined Bloomberg in 2006 after nine years at CNN, where she served as senior business correspondent. She anchored several CNN business shows, including "Moneyline Weekend" and "Business Unusual." She also created and anchored "Market Call," which aired on CNN's financial network, CNNfn. She anchored the network's breaking news coverage on 9-11. At CNN, Schaffler served as correspondent at the New York Stock Exchange, where she covered major market milestones, including the Asian financial crisis. Prior to joining CNN, she worked as an anchor, reporter and writer at other media companies, including Dow Jones and Knight Ridder. In addition to covering financial news, she has also covered politics and general news. During 2005, she took a sabbatical from media to work on a microfinance project at the United Nations, where she also served on a committee developing curriculum for a new Model United Nations program focusing on globalization, trade and development. Schaffler received a bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University.
