Stephen Allen is Executive Director of Macquarie Capital Group and Global Head of its Infrastructure and Utilities Advisory practice, a team of 500 professionals operating in all infrastructure and utilities sub-sectors across the globe. Prior to assuming his current role, he spent five years as CEO of the Macquarie Infrastructure Group, one of the leading specialist toll-road development organizations. Over the course of his career with Macquarie Group, Allen initiated the development of the firm's infrastructure businesses in Europe. He headed the firm's London office, managing Macquarie Capital in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has worked on financing infrastructure projects in Australia, Asia, North America, Europe and Africa.
