Glenn Kleiman

Glenn Kleiman is Executive Director of the Friday Institute for Educational Innovation, based at North Carolina State University, where he is also a Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the College of Education. A cognitive psychologist by background, he focuses on basic and applied research, curriculum development, software development, professional development for teachers and administrators, and policy analysis. Before joining N.C. State in 2007, he was vice president and senior research scientist at the Education Development Center Inc. in Massachusetts, where he most recently directed the Center for Online Professional Education. He was on the faculty of the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1995 to 2007, and has also taught at the University of Illinois, the University of Toronto and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. He received a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
